Relationship between health promotion behavior and life satisfaction at the latter school age children

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analysis relationship between the latter school age children¡¯s health promotion behavior and life satisfactions, to investigate children¡¯s variables which effect the latter school age children¡¯s health promotion behavior and the life satisfaction, and to study correlations between these variables. so we could helps children be able to carry on healthy, happy, and satisfied life. This study adopted questionnaire surveys for total 670 children, who are 4, 5, 6th grade at elementary public school age in Busan city, Health promotion behavior questionnaire and K-MSLSS, life satisfaction questionnaire. The following results were founded. First, the rank of health promotion behavior criterion of the children were Diseases Control>Personal Hygiene> Mental Health>Accident Prevention>Eating Habits=Exercise. Second, the rank of life satisfaction of the children were Family Satisfaction=Environment Satisfaction>Self satisfaction>School Satisfaction. Third, children¡¯s health promoting behavior were different depending on children¡¯s gender, grades, family member, family traits, residing, father¡¯s education, mother¡¯s education, father¡¯s job, perceived child health state, school record, enrolled private institute number, and family socioeconomic states. Fourth, children¡¯s life satisfaction were different depending on children¡¯s background traits. Fifth, strong statistically significant correlations was founded at the correlation analysis of children¡¯s health promotion behavior and life satisfaction. Finally, Regression analysis results indicating statistically strong significant meaning which the health promotion behavior effecting on the children¡¯s life satisfaction. Exercise, mental health, and accident prevention were important elements promoting children¡¯s life satisfactions.
